There was no going down, I had to jump.
How on Earth did I jump off of that cliff…? To be honest, I have no idea. But am I glad that I did it? YES! Would I do it again? NO! The teacher went first to check if it would be safe. He said he was «pretty sure» it was. Sounds good enough I guess..?
It wasn’t a typical jumping place so we had to do off roading to get up there (no trail). My legs were going up but my conscience was stuck on the ground. But before I knew it, I was at the top. There was no going down, I had to jump. At first I was thinking hard about what I was going to do but then realized that thinking was making it worse.
So I just stopped counting and stepped off. I did a 180 and somehow didn’t hurt myself. As soon as my head came above the water the feeling of relief was the most I have ever felt. But then my head started to really hurt so I swam to shore quickly in case I passed out. I lowkey don’t remember anything but I supposedly yelled «That was so fun!!!» after I came up 😂.
My wetsuit shoes got filled with water so those were fun to walk back in. The kitchen made oatmeal porridge for lunch and it HIT the spot 🤤.
The weather was quite nice this afternoon so I took advantage of it by going outside and walking. I called my mom, sisters, and my grandma (for nearly 2 hours!) just talking about how it’s going and catching up. Sometimes walking alone is exactly what I need to recharge. And I definitely needed a recharge after the «debacle» this morning.
Let’s just say that folkehøgskole brings out a whole new side you never knew existed.
