Postcards from Isla · Day 7

People told me my lips were blue…?

What a day to end the fully packed week! I thought Sundays would be boring and slow but it turns out every day here is quite the adventure. Of course I could have chosen to just stay in my room and chill buttttt what’s the fun in that? 😛

I’m not going to lie, I am pretty tired. I feel like it really hit me today. I am usually sensitive to caffeine so I was worried that when I had a black tea only a few hours before bed that I wouldn’t be sleepy but I very much am.

Today was Sunday Swimming which the school organized every single Sunday. I made a commitment to show up to every single swim (yes, even if we have to break through to ice to swim) as a challenge. Today was the warmest we will have it since it is only going to get colder, and people told me my lips were blue…? So yeah, a little worried about future swims. 😂

After dinner (which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS) one of the teachers told crazy stories of people who lived on the cliff farm of the Geiranger fjord since we are going there tomorrow. They seemed pretty insane (however the translating device could only go so far 🥲).

Anyways, for the Sunday movie night we watched Bølgen (The Wave) which many say is a Norwegian classic. It’s actually about a tsunami that comes to destroy Geiranger (and yes it will ACTUALLY happen one day) SO fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen tomorrow… 🤞🤞(AND YES THE KITTY CAME BACKKKKK)
