Don't go chasing waterfalls
Today was definitely a day to remember. My class (kulinaris/culinary) went on a cabin trip for the night to bond and get to know each other better. And what better place to do that in other than the Norwegian wilderness!
First we picked some rips which are the red currants and learned how to preserve them for jam in the future. Then we took a road trip/ ferry ride to another island. The ride through the fjords was absolutely amazing and the weather couldn’t have been better. After making the tacos at the cabin we played board games and ate chocolate chip cookies.
I really appreciate how the teacher wants us to get close and feel safe with each other. We opened up about personal things and it was a really special time in the cabin.
I went out on a walk with a few others to see a waterfall in the valley but let’s just say we were interrupted… halfway into the hike we felt a few drops. At first we were trying to run back but as we looked at the beauty around us we slowed down and just let the rain take over.
We ended up coming back absolutely DRENCHED but at least the others were waiting on the porch for us to see how our little adventure went.
So I guess the take away is «Don’t go chasing waterfalls…» (well… thats only if you want to take the boring option 🫣)
