Postcards from Isla · Day 2

I kind of like the not knowing what they are saying

Day 2: I got A LOT of information today like the «first day of school» usually is. It was nice to experience a typical structure of what a day here is like. Luckily, I had translation from teachers and google translate (which works SOME of the time 🫣) to better understand what is happening in the upcoming weeks and months.

It definitely is very different to not hear everything in English since I’m so used to that but to be honest I kind of like the «not knowing what they are saying» aspect. It makes me that much more eager to to learn and motivates me to try so I can understand later in the year!

p.s: the pictures are from a beach not too far away. I will add that walking here is so much fun. (seems so trivial but it is just so hard to go inside after a walk) I heard that days are not usually like this so I was sure to savor the moment! ☀️
